main idea

The main idea of "When Zachary Beaver Came To Town" is that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, you have to read the first chapter to really get a feel of it.

D: Oh No!

I was a bit confused at the end of the book when Toby said "I think it's gonna be a Wylie Womack d-. I catch myself, but it's too late. Cal hears me but he doesn't look sad. He's Grinning ear to ear." I went back to Wayne's letter to Cal and it mentioned Wylie Womack snow cones. I realized that Toby thought it make Cal sad because Wayne's dead but it didn't. So I found that Quite interesting.

Shocker there!

Scarlett doesn't really like Toby in that way. Yet, why am I not surprised? She still thinks he's the nicest boy in antler though. OH GEE! Cause that's such a great honor. I mean it is but... She pooped Toby out... that doesn't sound right. She made him sad.:(. Cal also got really mad at him and it did not end well. Cal was like ROAR against Toby and Zachary.

OMG!

I cant believe Scarlett hooked up with Toby. I personally think that this is just an evil scheme to get Toby to do her dirty work, like show her sister the fat kid again. Although we don't know a lot about her, the mom seems like a nice character. But I am enraged by the fact she left Toby with his worm raising dad. This really gets me thinking if she actually wanted to leave...

Firt impression

when zachary beaver came to town. Doesn't sound like much but within the first ten pages it gets very very interesting. Screeching little girl, hot big sister, black toothed friend. this is going to be an interesting book...........
