The No-Name Party

The no-name party has really got me thinking. Will them losing DuShawn in their party affect their voters? What will happen with the party? Will everyone vote for it because they have been called names? How will the no-name party affect the other parties. The other parties have a single purpose, the no-name party does too but, the no-names party has a better purpose. Any thoughts on that?

Favourite Misfit

This is based on an idea by Sarah V.
What I wonder is, who is all of your favourite misfits. Mine would have to be Bobby because he is a hidden genius! If he hadn't of spoken up to Mr. Kiley Ms. Wyman, they wouldn't of been able to be a campaign group. "The problem with the freedom party was that it wasn't specific enough. Even saying we represented minorities didn't mean a whole lot. But saying we want to put an end to kids being called names, well, that does have a meaning. ......(mr kileys part)-> I want to give the no-name party the go ahead." this shows how Bobby might have some hidden talent that no body knew about. Any thoughts on that?

Space!

Hello, my name is Bryson and I’m in space floating. I feel it right to tell you what I saw and some information that I know. I will start by telling you how a star and planet are created and then, how they are different. Then I will tell you about the moons impact on the earth and its phases. Lastly, I will tell you some other interesting things about our solar system. there is a whole universe to explore. I will start off by telling you about stars and planets.

Stars and planets
When I was in space I saw a star and planet get created and some of their differences, these are how and what I saw. The difference between a star and a planet is that a star produces light, and a planet reflects it. Another difference is that a star is made up of hydrogen and nitrogen, whereas a planet is made up of anything form rock to ice etc. Another difference between a star and a planet is that a planet must have an atmosphere whereas a star doesn't. Also, a star's own gravity keeps it together and has no solid core. A planet has a solid core. A star is created when 2 atoms constantly collide with each other to create friction and produce heat. Then, the more the atoms hit each other, the bigger the star gets. After it is very large, it starts to pull in planets and stuff like that. A planet is created when a large asteroid or rock is colliding with other, smaller asteroids making that large asteroid rock bigger and bigger. Then a star pulls the planets made of rock closer and the ones made of gas are in its gravity but farther out. Why? Because the rock planets are believed to have been made of gas, but then when the star ignites, all the gas, covering the planets close to the sun gets blown away.  Here is the site I used to find out about why rock planets are closer to the sun. Speaking of planets, what about our moon.

The moon
I am here watching the moon and the affect it has on the earth. Right now, and I have been here a while (about a month) and I’m going to tell you the moon cycle and phases. There is twelve months a year, each lasting about 30 days, but a moon month lasts for only 28 days so there is actually 13 months in a moon year. Over each month it changes from a thin crescent to a round shape. This is because of the reflected by the moon. On a full moon the sunlight side faces the earth, and in a crescent moon is when the sunlight side is mostly facing away from us and a half moon is in between. The phases of the moon are, the new moon, crescent moon, first quarter moon, gibbous moon and a full moon. A gibbous moon is technically a three quarter moon but that wouldn’t be a very good name. I used the book “100 things you should know about space” by Sue Becklake. The impact the moon has on the earth is that its gravitational pull between the moon and the earth controls earth’s tides. “High tides occur on both the side of the earth closest to the moon and the side farthest from the moon. The side nearest the moon feels the strongest pull, the intermediate side of the earth a weaker pull, and the side farthest from the moon the weakest pull. As a result, the water in the oceans nearest the moon gets pulled toward the moon, and the water in the oceans farthest from the moon gets left behind. The result is high tides on both sides of the earth. Since the earth is rotating, that means that a beach on earth sees two high tides a day- one when it is nearest the moon and one when it is farthest away."
solar eclipse(not to scale)

A solar eclipse occurs when the light form a star is being blocked because a body moves in front of the planet. The planet is usually blocked by a moon. It is only visible in a small area because it is exactly 400 million miles away and the earth and moons orbit is exactly 1/400th the size of the sun. Therefore depriving a small area of sunlight for a little while.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon is travelling behind our planet (full moon), it orbits at an angle where NO sunlight reaches it, so the light from earth reflects off of the earths atmosphere on to the moon and only the weakest color (red) reaches the moons surface, making it appear red.
Other interesting things about our solar system
While I was floating around, I found out and did some pretty cool things. Like the gravity on the moon is much weaker. You can jump 6 times higher!!! Spacesuits are created to protect astronauts from radiation, the extreme heat or freezing cold. It could go from +624 degrees Fahrenheit to -624 by night. Everything floats around in space so everything must be tied down, such as sleeping bags.

In conclusion, there is a whole universe around us  just to explore, and with years to come we will learn a lot of new things. please choose me to go on the trip to mars... I have experience!

Soof

Here is the moment we have all been wating for... what is soof. Well, soof is Elliots pet name for Sophia A.K.A. So B It. There is no need for a quote to "support" my fact, it just happened. When mama dies i thought "I was right, soof was more important to her than Bernie or mama. Bernie says"Your mama and I need you home" and she ignored it because she wanted to find out what soof is.

Money

When Heidi gets to hilltop, she has no money and on page 142 it says "As I stood there listening, I felt a sharp tug on my knapsack, but when I turned around nobody was there." I think that was the point she got pick pocketed. I'm not sure if it happened for a reason, maybe the person who stole it knew she was lucky and wanted her to check her luck.
