Money

When Heidi gets to hilltop, she has no money and on page 142 it says "As I stood there listening, I felt a sharp tug on my knapsack, but when I turned around nobody was there." I think that was the point she got pick pocketed. I'm not sure if it happened for a reason, maybe the person who stole it knew she was lucky and wanted her to check her luck.

    hi bryson. i just read your blog and i don't agree with your idea. i don't think she was pick pocketed for a reason ( like someone knowing she is lucky ) i think she was robed because someone saw her in line and knew she had money and thought she would be easy to rob.

    Interesting idea about how the money being taken relates to Heidi and what this might mean to the end of the novel. Do you think her lucky streak has any relevance to soof and the end of the novel?
